About Sam
& OTHER PUBLICITY

Hello!
I am Sam.
I am a mother of one daughter, a wife, a sister, a daughter, a daughter in law, an aunt, a cousin, a godmother (to 6!) and a friend x
I live in Puttenham, a beautiful village between Guildford and Farnham in Surrey. Having grown up in the Woking and Godalming areas, my daughter now at school locally, after being at primary school in Hindhead, and my parents in West Sussex, I am frequently in the car, on the back roads, beating traffic, but I feel so lucky to live in this stunning area of the world!
I am a total yoga bunny, knitwear junkie and dog lover. I love long walks on crisp autumn mornings and cosy nights in with a good movie and a hot chocolate.
I have two gorgeous black Labrador dogs, who I thank every day for getting me out walking in the fresh air. My morning walks are my little meditations and space for myself to breathe, reflect and ground myself in nature, appreciating all the natural and seasonal cycles of life.
Family and friends are so important to me and have been a huge support over the years. I have learnt so much from them and about myself, through pregnancy, childbirth and becoming a mother, but also through four bouts of breast cancer when I was twenty six, thirty two, thirty four and in 2019, during our first lockdown.
After becoming a mother post cancer and experiencing a gap in support for those of us whose breastfeeding and health may be compromised at this monumental time, I feel passionately about specialising in this area and supporting other mothers who may find themselves in a similar position, with any type of chronic illness. Areas such as secondary fertility, hysterectomy, early menopause, mental health and feminine identity are something I can relate to deeply.
No-one is ever alone.
If you would like to read more about the SafeSpace support group I run for those recovering post cancer or read my blog on adjusting to life again after a diagnosis, as well as being a mum and trying to juggle life, and all the things we can do to nurture ourselves and take hold of our self care through times of adversity, head over to the Samspaces website.
In addition to my monthly musings blog that I write regularly for this website, I have also had a few articles about my postnatal work published online and in print, as well as being a guest on a few podcasts, speaking about my doula work and my experiences with breast cancer.
